After that, click on 'Personal Information' and then 'View IDs'. This will open a page with the Student ID, NetID, and Desire2Learn (D2L) listed. Below is a list of where each ID is used:

  • MSU Student ID (i.e. -01234567): My Info, My Profile
  • NetID (i.e. John.Doe): Desire2Learn, iClicker, Library, Email/Google Apps
  • MSU Domain Account (i.e. a12b345): Information Technology Center (ITC) Student Lab & SUB computers, Z Drive, Wireless Access

Students can view or change their passwords by going to www.montana.edu, click on 'My Passwords' then they will need to sign in with their information using their Last Name, MSU Student ID (-01234567) and their My Info Personal Identification Number (PIN). Then students can select which account they would like to reset the password for.

My Info

My Info is the primary tool for students to use throughout their college career to register for classes, pay their bill, accept financial aid, and update personal information and much more. It is important that students set up their own password.

Student E-mail

Students will get an email account once they have registered for classes (instructions for logging in the first time). Once registered for classes, students can find their email address by logging into their secure area on My Info, then click on 'Personal Information'.

Desire2Learn (D2L)

Desire2Learn is an interactive online supplement that may be used in some of your courses at Gallatin College. D2L makes it easy to submit assignments, stay up to date on course information, and offers a dynamic learning environment.
