Associate of Arts (A.A.)

In the Associate of Arts program at Gallatin College MSU, students can earn general education credits in smaller classes while saving money. This two-year degree program provides students with a supportive entrance into higher education and the chance to explore the arts, humanities and social sciences. If you need to complete prerequisite courses, are unsure about your educational goals, or are seeking professional skills and general education studies, the Gallatin College A.A. degree puts you on the path to your next step.

Each student will complete 30 credits of General Education Core requirements, 9 credits in Arts, Humanities or Social Sciences, and 21 general education elective credits. Graduates of the A.A. program are prepared to begin working in their field of interest or transfer to a bachelor’s degree program at Montana State University or another university of their choice. This program can be completed in-person or fully online.

The Associate of Arts program is part of Gallatin College MSU, southwest Montana’s two-year college. Please note, while some courses take place on the MSU campus, students will need reliable all-season personal transportation as public transportation is not available to the East Campus location.
